Producing new technology requires raw materials, energy and transport. By reusing existing equipment, something new doesn't need to be made for every workplace. This helps limit unnecessary waste and keeps valuable technology in circulation for longer.

Every device goes through the same careful steps before it's ready for a second life.
All personal data is carefully removed, so every device can safely and cleanly start over.
Before a device is offered again, we remove old data, settings and accounts. The device is reset to a clean base, so the previous user is completely disconnected from the system.
This ensures every laptop can safely and cleanly start over with the next user.
We check the key components, such as battery, storage, memory, screen, keyboard and ports.
We extensively check whether the device works well technically. This includes the battery, storage, memory, screen, keyboard, trackpad, camera, wifi, speakers, charger and ports.
Everything important for daily use is checked. If something doesn't work as it should, we fix it first before the device continues in our process.
Then we look at the exterior. Scratches, dents and signs of use are honestly factored into the assessment.
Besides technical function, we also carefully look at the device's appearance. We check for scratches, wear, screen condition, keyboard, housing, hinges and other visible signs of use.
This gives us an honest picture of how the device looks and lets us clearly state later what condition it's offered in.
The device is professionally cleaned and checked again, so everything is right before it goes online.
After the technical and visual inspection, the device is thoroughly cleaned. We clean the laptop, recheck the details and make sure the device is presentable for the next user.
We then go over everything once more to make sure nothing has been overlooked.
Based on the technical and visual condition, the device gets a clear grade, such as excellent, good or with signs of use.

Once the laptop is sold, we prepare it for shipping. The thermal paste is always replaced before the device goes to the customer.
